Not many dolls have autographs on their bottoms!
The one Cabbage Patch doll I remember most clearly was almost completely plastic and made to go in the pool or bathtub. It even wore a swimming suit and had little plastic beach shoes.
If you had Cabbage Patch dolls, which was your favorite? If you didn't have Cabbage Patch dolls, what was your favorite toy as a child?
Hi Kirra: I do not understand. Who is Xavier Roberts? This is the name of your cabbage patch doll? Do you still have it? I think they may be collectors' items by now, probably worth a good penny!
ReplyDeleteHmm, I thought I replied this afternoon to you, Amanda. I guess I didn't hit submit.
DeleteXavier Roberts is the name of the creator of the Cabbage Patch dolls. His autograph is on their bottoms. LOL. I wish I still had some of mine, but I don't. I'm not sure what happened to them. :-(
I remember having one as a kid. It had red hair and somehow I lost her in the a pile of toys.
ReplyDeleteI never named any of my dolls back then because they naturally assumed new names every time we played. They were just actors in my young imagination, waiting for a new wardrobe and a new role.
Then, I watched Child's Play and Toy Story and I never played with dolls again.
LOL I remember watching Child's Play, probably at a much younger age than I should have! It didn't turn me away from dolls, but if any doll looked like Chuckie I don't think I would have had anything to do with it!
