90 Days With the Christian Classics

I found 90 Days with the Christian Classics at a Sam’s Club several years ago, but it turned out to be a gem!

90 Days with the Christian Classics is a devotional book.  Each day offers a passage of scripture, an excerpt from the writings of a revered writer of the church, and a short biography.  Finally there is a thoughtful question and a few blank lines to fill in your answer or add your thoughts.

The book itself is beautiful, but what makes it stand out is the work of Anselm , Thomas Aquinas, Dietrich Bonhoeffer, Amy Carmichael, Oswald Chambers, G.K. Chesterton, Erasmus, Justin Martyr, C.S. Lewis, Charles Spurgeon, A.W. Tozer, and many others.

If you aren’t yet familiar with these eloquent writers, this book will be a great sampler that will invite you to dig deeper.

  1. The book sounds like one I would enjoy immensely, as I am familiar with those writers. I especially enjoy C.S. Lewis and Oswald Chambers. I posted this week about my favorite devotional, which is Streams in the Desert. I hope you'll stop by Gail-Friends for a visit and read an excerpt that blessed me.
Nice to meet you through Charlotte's page.
    Shalom and blessings to you,

    1. I will check it out. Thank you for coming by!
